Breweries To Visit In The North Eastern Maryland

Breweries To Visit In North East Area Of Maryland

Here are few of my favorite breweries.   If you have children, I also found these to be kid friendly.

Cecil County

Bog Turtle Brewery  - This is a Brewery Restaurant.  Has a small menu but good.  A few unique items are usually on the menu, e.g. Pickle plate (if you haven't had pickled garlic, well here is your chance).  I found the beers all very good.   A good variety for every taste.   They do offer flights.

Maryland Beer Co - You'll find this one tucked away.   Limited pub style menu.  Kids will like this if they are a fan of hotdogs and wings.  Their beers are 4 stars or close on Untapped.

Valhalla Brewing Co - Another small brewery worth a stop.  You'll find a limited menu along the bbq theme.  Again a variety of beers.   A good amount of seating inside (long benches).  There is some seating outside to enjoy the warm weather with a brew. You'll find scrapple fries as one of the unique foods.    See a contributor's review.

Harford County

AleCraft Brewery  You can bring kids here.  There are board games you can play.   There is food you can order at the bar.   The beer is good and the staff friendly.   This is another brewery located in the town of Bel Air (which is also worth seeing).   See a contributor's review

Falling Branch Brewery - This is another destination farm with a great beer selection.  You'll find at least 2 food trucks parked.   They have large amount of indoor and outdoor seating.  This is another place where you may want to take some chairs as they will get crowded if the weather is nice.   In the fall, stop by and pick your own pumpkin.

Hopkins Farm Brewery - This is a destination brewery.  This is a farm brewery.   They will usually have at least 2 food trucks.   I recommend to take chairs with you.   Lots of outdoor space to spread out.  The beers are good and a variety of styles.   Flights are available.   If the weather is nice, don't be surprised to see sky divers in the distance.

Independent Brewing Company - In the town of Bel Air, this is worth the stop.  You'll see an old pickup in the front.   There will be at least 1 food truck serving up grub.    Not a bad beer in the bunch.   Plenty of seating, but it will get crowded.

Slat Farm Brewery - This is another local brewery that serves food.   There is plenty of seating outside that is covered.   The menu is limited so check before you go.  They will give you a number and bring it out to you.   Otherwise, the beers were good which is the reason to visit.   Staff is family.
