A Visit At Hospitality Creek Campground In New Jersey

Image
A Long Weekend At Hospitality Creek Campground In New Jersey May 6, 2022 Video: TikTok We had a long weekend in Hospitality Creek.   The overall weekend was good.  The campground is fairly secluded but is still close to attractions, like a 40 minute ride into Philly. We took advantage of the Philly proximity to take the truck in for  a day trip to visit the Battleship New Jersey and hit a local eatery called Craft Hall (Food and local brewery on site). The campground is also a swim club in the summer.   If you visit before Summer, you'll find a large campground to get your steps in.  If you have a camper over 30ft, I be careful as you traverse the roads to the sites as they are not made for opposing traffic and not all of the sites are easy to get into even through they will accommodate larger rigs.   You can stop by the office for assistance, e.g. ask for  a tractor to get you in. The sites near the large pond are great and give you a great view even if there is a camper in front

Visiting Lums Pond Delaware State Park Campground

Image
A Great Weekend Getaway in Delaware - Lums Pond 3/21/2022 A state park and campground nestled in Bear, DE.   A very short drive from the Maryland boarder, this is nestled in a nicely wooded area.  See our TikTok ... Its a very laid back campground when we were there.  Sites are fairly spread out and there are mix of sites for trailers (Fifth Wheel and Travel), tents and Yurts.    Sites are all full hookups and mostly are all flat.   Each site has a fire pit. Lots of green space in between.    The lake is very large.  Probably about a 2-3 hour walk around, if you were to give it a try.   The bath house is very clean and plenty of individual bathrooms with showers. There are washers and dryers on site with a borrow book space if you need some reading to pass the time. The sunrise is a beautiful thing if you start the day early.

Breweries In Cecil County - Worthwhile Stops

There are some great breweries, brewery restaurants and farm breweries located through the north east part of Maryland. Here are just a few mentions Cecil County Bog Turtle Brewery   - This is a Brewery Restaurant.  Has a small menu but good.  A few unique items are usually on the menu, e.g. Pickle plate (if you haven't had pickled garlic, well here is your chance).  I found the beers all very good.   A good variety for every taste.   They do offer flights.   Maryland Beer Co  - You'll find this one tucked away.   Limited pub style menu.  Kids will like this if they are a fan of hotdogs and wings.  Their beers are 4 stars or close on Untapped.   Valhalla Brewing Co  - Another small brewery worth a stop.  You'll find a limited menu along the bbq theme.  Again a variety of beers.   A good amount of seating inside (long benches).  There is some seating outside to enjoy the warm weather with a brew. You'll find scrapple fries as one of the unique foods.    See a contributo
